JB Childhood Foundation is a Swedish non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting vulnerable children in the Philippines. We work step by step through cooperation, learning, and transparency.
About us
JB Childhood Foundation is a registered Swedish non-profit foundation operating as non-profit and non-commercial. The foundation is governed by a board and committed to transparency and accountability. Our focus is to support vulnerable children in the Philippines through safe living conditions, education, and basic protection.
Current phase: The foundation is currently in an exploratory and learning phase. Our priority is to listen, learn, and understand real needs before defining long-term support.
How we work
Responsible support requires patience, cooperation, and respect for local expertise. We work in partnership with established local NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) and align our work with guidance from DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development), the Philippine government authority responsible for child protection.

Founder's perspective
During my first visit to the Philippines in the 1980s, I became aware of the difficult living conditions faced by many children.
At that time, I did not have the opportunity or the capacity to contribute in a meaningful way. However, the experience stayed with me over the years and influenced my view on responsibility and long-term commitment.
JB Childhood Foundation was established with a clear understanding that meaningful support requires patience, structure, and cooperation with experienced local organizations. The foundation is built to work responsibly, transparently, and with respect for local expertise.

Donations support long-term, responsible initiatives through trusted local partners. All donations are documented, traceable, and subject to board oversight. Volunteering is considered only in a learning and supportive capacity under partner organization guidance.
